Based on the terrifying best-seller by Scott Smith ("A Simple Plan"), "The Ruins" follows a group of friends who become entangled in a brutal struggle for survival after visiting a remote archaelogical dig int eh Mexican jungle-where they discover something deadly living among the ruins. "The Ruins" stare Jonathan Tucker ("The Black Donnellys"), Jena Malone ("Pride and Prejudice", "Saved"), Shawn Ashmore ("X-Men" movies), Laura Ramsey ("She's the Man") and Joe Anderson ("Across the Universe"). "The Ruins" is Paramount Pictures' highly anticipated release this spring and the first feature film from director Carter Smith whose short film "Bugcrush" won the Jury Prize at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. The screening wil take place at Cinemark's Tinseltown USA located at 1910 Rotunda Drive in Erie, PA. Shuttle buses will be provided from Edinboro University to Tinseltown but seating is limited. Tickets are FREE to Edinboro University students, limit of 1 ticket with ID, and are $5.00 for general public. Service charges do apply at the time of purchase. Tickets can be obtained from the SGA Convenience Store located in the Frank G Pogue Student Center or from Mr. John C. Lyons at the Help Center in Ross Hall. Students must present their ID to receive their ticket and is limited to one ticket per ID. Tickets will remain on sale on line until Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 12:00 PM.
